NYMBO Update
Bishop Wilton Lanequest
What a beautiful day in a beautiful area. Cycling on a Saturday morning is always enjoyable but some days are very special and last Saturday was one to savour. Andy Stanforth planned an excellent course based on the Fleece Inn and Jens Strain drew another accurate map.
Andy kept the course south of the A166 and gave us the choice of the steep dry valleys on the western edge of the Yorkshire Wolds or the flatter area around Fangfoss.
Andy Conn only' managed 16 controls this month worth 320 points 24 7 23 16 27 22 29 13 18 12 21 28 4 14 8 19. Richard Harrison got closer with 296 points to win the Senior Men's category now that Andy has admitted officially to being over 40!!! I picked a good route to beat the other super vets with 277 points 24 7 23 29 16 22 27 26 11 17 2 12 19 8 while Steph and Carol made a winning debut in the Women's category. Guy and Oliver Dixon won the Generation class and finished 7 th overall. Andrea Foster and Geoff Moorhouse won the mixed category but will be disappointed to have finished 5 points behind her husband!
If you enjoyed the area or missed out you will have another chance next month when the NYMBO League starts with a 4 hour event based on Norton College . This is another lovely part of the Yorkshire Wolds with steep dry valleys and the flatter floodplain of the River Derwent but staying north of the A166. If you rode in the Summer Polaris last year you will have ridden some of the tracks.

You can now join the TCA on line as a Full member for £15 or an Associate member for free but you pay £2 day insurance at all TCA events. It will help all organisers if you can do so before your next event.
