NYMBO Update – January Easingwold Lanequest What an excellent way to start the New Year. It's a few years since we started in Easingwold and The Commercial made us very welcome again - beforehand and afterwards. As usual, the North Yorkshire scenery was very pleasant to cycle through as long as you didn't try to cut through on field edge bridleways and avoided the recently trimmed hedges. A few riders suffered from punctures but Richard Jones still managed to win with an impressive score despite one tube change!! Karen Blackburn scored her customary 330 points to beat all of her female competitors and it was great to see 16 women riders in an impressive turn out of over 50. John Dixon finished second overall but was happy to beat all the other veterans including John (National Champion) Rawdon. Apologies to Ralph & Chris Defty who won the Mixed category but were overlooked in the prizegiving.
