Thornton le Beans Comments

Only 11 riders braved the elements on this typically cold, wet and windy midsummer's evening!! We still had a pleasant evening and The Crosby was a welcome refuge when we had finished. John Dixon scored the most points but did plan this event a couple of years ago and rides these lanes every week. So the most impressive result was from Karen Blackburn who had travelled from Rookhope especially for the event and scored 244 to finish 3rd. Results below.

The final summer lanequest will be at The Black Swan at Fearby near Masham on Wednesday 16th July. The weather must improve by then so please send your entries to me to reserve a map.

The next NYMBO event is at Duncombe Park in Ryedale on Saturday 12th July. It as also a TCA National event and the scale of the map will be 1-40,000. It is a 4 hour event (with a 2 hour option for novices) starting between 11 and 12 noon. The estate have kindly given permission for us to use all of their private tracks so we have an excellent opportunity to ride excellent routes that aren't normally available to the public as well as the usual bridleways in this beautiful area. I hope you can make it.
